How to Edit a Page Meta Title and Description

Use this guide when you want to update the SEO title or meta description for a WordPress page.

How to do it

1. Open your site details page from the 1ClickWebsite dashboard.
2. Click WP Admin.
3. In WordPress, click Pages.
4. Click the page you want to edit.
5. Scroll to the Search Engine Optimization section.
6. Update the Meta title field.
7. Update the Meta description field.
8. Click Save when you are finished.

Tips

• Keep the meta title clear and specific. The recommended length shown in WordPress is up to 60 characters.
• Keep the meta description readable and useful. The recommended length shown in WordPress is 50-160 characters.
• The Pages list also shows meta title and meta description columns, which can help you quickly review pages.
• This same process works for other normal WordPress pages. For services, service areas, or blog posts, open that content type instead of Pages.
