# How to Edit a Page Meta Title and Description

Use this guide when you want to update the SEO title or meta description for a WordPress page.

## Before you start

You will need access to your site in the 1ClickWebsite dashboard and its WordPress admin.

## 1. Open your dashboard

Go to the [1ClickWebsite dashboard](https://www.1clickwebsite.ai/dashboard).

## 2. Select your site

Open the site you want to update from the website list.

## 3. Open WordPress admin

Click **WP Admin** on the site details page.

## 4. Open the Pages list

In the WordPress sidebar, click **Pages**.

## 5. Choose the page

Open the page you want to edit. This example uses the homepage.

## 6. Update the SEO fields and save

Scroll to **Search Engine Optimization**. Update the **Meta title** and **Meta description** fields, then click **Save**.

## Tips

- Keep the meta title clear and specific. The recommended length shown in WordPress is up to 60 characters.
- Keep the meta description readable and useful. The recommended length shown in WordPress is 50-160 characters.
- The Pages list also shows meta title and meta description columns, which can help you quickly review pages.
- This same process works for other normal WordPress pages. For services, service areas, or blog posts, open that content type instead of Pages.
